Optional - enable 2-factor authentication for technician's account when signing into the specialist software.
Thanks for reaching out. This is more than under consideration — it’s actcually code-complete and in testing. MFA will be released on the modern app shortly (within weeks, I expect, depending on testing). We were experimenting with other forms of MFA, some of which you’ll see coming out in the next several months, but 2FA with an Authenticator app will be here shortly.
Is this still under consideration, it's been more than 4 years and no updates ??????

I would like to see some type of 2nd Factor Authentication when logging in as specialist. I'm currently using Google Authenticator on some other sites.
Anything other than the single factor authentication currently in use now would be an improvement so I would definitely welcome certificate authentication as the second factor versus a one time password or code sent using SMS.
Would the cert be stored locally in my certificate store or are you thinking of a FOB or Smart Card / App (like Google Authenticator or the MS Version of Google Authenticator) ?
Given today's culture of technology breaches this feature request should rank high with every concerned IT service provider as well as their customers.Until another method is devised this is currently the best thing Instant Housecall could do to provide a high level of security to its customer base.
I know you guys are trying to keep costs down for your customers but please don't do it at the expense of security !
I for one am willing to pay a little extra for the peace of mind.....
Thanks for the suggestion!
How would you feel about certificate authentication vs two-factor authentication?
