More room for session notes
Can you please consider providing more room/characters in the notes section of each remote support session ?
I find myself repeatedly running out of room to accurately describe what was done on even the shortest remote support efforts.
As we all know the devil is in the details and good notes both keep me and my customer better informed on what has been done.
For me it really helps with billing/invoices as well as keeping an accurate history which benefits future repair and support efforts and ultimately better customer service which is makes for a happier customer and better prospects for continued business opportunities.
Thanks in advance for you consideration !
This has been completed in the modern app. If you’d like to use a demo version that has this feature implemented, reach out and I’ll send you the beta.
I am resubmitting my request especially since the modern app is being deprecated and cannot be logged into when 2FA is enabled and especially since there hasn't been an update on the Microsoft Store for more than 2 years.
Please make this simple request happen as I am sure it will benefit everyone and allow for better post support communications and record keeping.
Sorry, I thought I had respnoded to this one already. Try the modern app: it has a longer session notes field. The problem is that we chose the wrong technology when we were implementing this feature in the first place -- we should have been using an HTTP POST, instead we used a GET which has a limit on the length. I've added a request to the developer to scope out how difficult it would be to change this to a POST. I don't think it would be much, but time will tell. :) Hopefully we can get this sorted for you in the next version or two. If you want updates in the meantime, feel free to ping me here or at email@example.com.
Cory, please what's the deal on this, it can't be that hard to do it and this request is more than 3 years old.
Please do something or at least respond back and let us know why you are purposely ignoring your customer's requests....do we even matter to you ????
I wholeheartedly second this motion and the sooner this can be done the better ! ! !
