sub accounts, organize by company or name at least?
Hi Corey, is it possible to make it so we can have containers or some way of organizing the sub accounts? For instance, by company or at least the ability to add a company category and then allow us to sort by columns?
Also, I don't recall if when i signed up there was a spot to mention how I heard about IHC, but I've been listening to the MTS and Tech Vets for years, so I wanted to let you know how I found out about IHC.
Thanks, kevin boynton

New Icon not distinctive or visible enough
Thank you for the new release. The change in design, however, isn't positive with regards to the IH icon. In the task bar, it's a white square with a very small blue logo in it. In the tray, it's all but impossible to distinguish as a white box with a little blue in the center.
A good graphic designer who knows how to make logos/icons pop could greatly improve it. That being said, what's the logo design supposed to call to mind? I don't get it.

Updated Portal
Meh
"Modern Design" in general doesn't do anything for me. I see no benefit from the changes you made and would have been happy staying with the original design and having you use your time on more important things. To be honest, my clients are all established and they rarely, if ever, see the portal. Even of they did, not a needed change at all.

Apple Specialist Client
I see mention of a Mac/Apple Specialist Client back in 2018.
Any updates on this?
I've got a few customers that would like to be able to use sub accounts from their Apple OS computers.7 votes -

Anyone have high system utilization for Windows 10 when accessing remotely?
I had a system, Windows 10, 1703, that was getting very high CPU utilization when Instant Housecall was connected. When disconnected utilization went down by 50%. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Auto-Lock Workstations on exit
I've had clients complain if I had forgotten to manually lock their workstations (or server) after working with Instant Housecall. Now it's a habit but there are some other remote tools such as team viewer and logmein that do it automatically. It would be useful.
1 voteHi Allan Thanks for reaching out. The Modern Specialist App (Windows Store App) includes a drop down on the end of session dialog that lets you lock the customer’s computer, among other things. I’ll see what it would take to get this into the Win32 version, as well.

multiple windows in store app
I have one complaint and one like to have.
That obtrusive area at the top of a client session with chat and disconnect buttons keeps coming back during the session no matter how many times I close it. It often covers areas that I need to get to.
I have all but stopped using the Store version since it does not allow for more than one session at a time to be visible. Also, the non-store app allows for simple manipulation of the session window. Can something be done about this?

Silent client
I work for a school, and would like the option to make the client fully silent, no tray icon, and locked down service that only an admin can disable. We currently use a vnc product that works like this, and it is great as there is nothing for them to fool with.

filter detailed reports by company name
when i go to my detailed monthly reports all customers are mixed and if i have a customer on contract it would be nice to provide unedited work logs.
so maybe a filter would be nice to make reports to each company.

Need the ability to keep all notes together during reboots. Currently we have to copy from admin login (your website) to the new connection.
If we loose connection due to data link or simply a reboot, the auto reconnect creates a whole new session and all notes are on the other connection (hard to keep info together) are not included as part of the current connection. Also, during these situations, no email summary is received (if setup). This requires us to pull notes/chat info from website which does not look the say as the email. Also, when this happens, the chat window continues to be present on specialist side, specialist can type in the chat window but it never post on customer side. When…

Windows 10 client
Would it be possible to resize and rearrange the tiles? By this I mean shrink and move the Feedback and Admin tiles out to the right, shrink the Waiting tile to a respectable size, and similarly the Unattended Access tiles, bringing them into a more prominent position. This would eliminate the need to go full screen just to see them. At the moment the interface may well be best suited for high res, low size touch screens, but rather awkward on a desktop client.
Great work on the service though - I just used it to fix a Windows 10…
4 votesThanks for suggestions! After your first login, the feedback and admin tiles should be moved out of the way by default (ie, tucked away at the left of the screen, out of view until you scroll left). If you’re experiencing something different, please let me know.
I’m not sure that shrinking the “Waiting for incoming calls” will have the effect that you desire — specifically bringing more real estate to the screen, which is what I assume you want. It needs to be in its own column, and shrinking it wouldn’t provide any benefit in that sense.
If you can help me understand where the awkwardness is from your perspective, I’m all ears. I use the modern app from a desktop (and have for the past few years) every day. I may be blind to it because I’ve gotten used to it, and would love to hear your feedback.
